A drone flying above the beach captured a woman sprinting toward her dog in the ocean, but the dark shadows moving behind them made everyone think they were witnessing a tragedy unfold.

The dog had drifted far from shore and was struggling against the waves, paddling desperately as the current pulled it farther out to sea.

The moment the woman realized what was happening, she ran straight into the water without hesitation. People on the beach began shouting and pointing as she fought through the surf, trying to reach her dog before it was too late.

Then the drone footage revealed several dark shapes moving beneath the surface.

At first, everyone feared they were sharks.

The shadows closed in around the exhausted dog, and for a few tense moments, it looked like the situation was about to become every pet owner's worst nightmare.

But as the shapes surfaced, the truth became clear. They were dolphins.

A small group of dolphins surrounded the struggling dog and began swimming behind it, gently guiding and nudging it back toward shore. The dolphins stayed close as the dog regained its direction and moved toward the woman.

Moments later, the woman reached her dog and pulled it safely into her arms. Together, they made their way back to the beach while the dolphins quietly disappeared into the deeper water.

What looked like a disaster turned into an incredible rescue, all caught on camera from above.

Dolphins have long been known for helping both humans and animals in distress, with many documented cases of them guiding swimmers to safety, protecting people from danger, and assisting exhausted animals in the water.
