Come celebrate AAPI culture with us!🏮

We’ll be representing Lao culture like never before at the AAPI Culture Fest x Civic Center Night Market.

It’s the perfect place to celebrate spring while enjoying a wide selection of food, beverages, and entertainment from vendors from all over Denver, and expand your perspective of all that the AAPI community has to offer. 🍲

Friday, May 22nd:
📍Denver Civic Center
101 W 14th Ave Pkwy
5 - 10 p.m.

❤️‍🔥Fun Fact: This is our second year participating in the night market, but the first at an independent Lao Village.

Because we were the only Lao vendor last year, we joined the Hmong Village. However, this year, we decided to give the Lao village the full representation it deserves, even if it is just the humble Sweet Rice Flour Team.

👩🏻‍🍳👨🏼‍🍳Chef Dad and I will be serving sticky rice, papaya salad, Laotian beef jerky, and laab, along with our delicious sweet treats, so come hungry!

For more information, visit:

We can’t wait to share a little slice of Lao (and laab) with you.🇱🇦

As we approach the vibrant celebration of Lao/Khmer/Thai New Year April 13-18, I find myself reflecting on the beautiful memories shared with my beloved mom. 🌸✨ Each year, the sacred tradition of visiting the Lao temple and ordaining as a nun for three days filled my heart with purpose and joy. Those moments spent meditating, surrounded by the soothing sounds of prayers, and making merits through our family’s Laotian food, tropical fruit trays and fresh pressed sugar cane juice offerings were some of the most profound experiences of my life. 🥥🙏

This year, in honor of my mom, I am donating mochi to the opening books of the Happy Songkran Day and Ruby Maps Her World. It’s my heartfelt way of sending love and kindness to her in the spirit realm. I may not be able to join the celebration in person, but I carry her memory with me, allowing it to inspire my actions and choices every day. ❤️💖

I invite you all to join us at the Social Fabric Hub on April 18th for this beautiful celebration of culture and community. The first 40 registrants will receive a complimentary mochi, and after that, we’ll have more available for sale. Let’s come together to honor our traditions and create new memories! 🎉

Is SRF sweet AND savoury…?🤔

Many of you have seen SRF serving various savoury Lao dishes and have asked if SRF is expanding to offer savory food, too.

While we don’t have a concrete answer to share with you at the moment, we DO have something special brewing behind the scenes.👀

So stay tuned for what’s coming to Denver in the coming years.

In the meantime, make sure to mark the season’s final OnHavana Night Market on your calendar, where Chef Andy (aka my dad, and a huge part of the SRF team), will be serving some authentic savory Lao national dishes!

This is the last market where you’ll be able to sample some of our savory food this year, so you won’t want to miss out!

📅Sept 27th, 6 PM-10 PM
📍Leezakay Parking Lot

We’re taking a birthday break🎈

SRF will be closed October 3rd-5th to celebrate our founder’s birthday (and to give her some much-needed rest!)

This little Libra has had quite the year and is looking forward to taking a little breather before diving into the holiday season.

If you want to secure a box of your favorite choux, or to place an order for a crêpe cake, please make sure to do so by October 1st!

As always, thanks for all your support. ❤️

Get ready to unleash your inner food explorer because we've got a culinary adventure lined up that promises to tickle your taste buds and warm your heart! 🌶️✨

If you’ve been daydreaming about that extra tangy Lao papaya salad, perfectly paired with the irresistible funk of Laotian sausage, then hold onto your forks!

Chef Andy (a.k.a. my dad, our family culinary wizard) and the sensational SRF team are bringing a slice of Laos to the Yelp Colorado Camp at the Boulder Museum this Saturday at 6 PM. 🎉

But wait, there's more! 🥳 We've got warm sticky rice that's just begging to be doused in your favorite sauces and stews. Can you hear it calling? 🍚 It’s like a cozy hug for your taste buds, and we promise it’ll be worth every bite.

And for those of you who like it mild, fear not! Our taro coconut pudding will be ready to rescue you from the spice overload. It’s the perfect sweet antidote to balance out the flavor explosion ❤‍🔥 on your plate!

So, grab your friends, bring your appetite, and let’s make this night unforgettable. Who’s ready to feast? 🙌

MHAFW 2025 was a lesson in resilience and community care🫂

(Yes, I know that MHAFW concluded all the way back on May 4th, but life was life-ing, and better late than never!)

During the months leading up to and after this year’s MHAFW, I was dealing with a lot of chronic pain related to my accident.

This also coincided with the anniversary of my mother’s and brother’s passing.

To be honest, it was so intense that I almost didn’t participate in the event this year.

But something deep in my heart kept telling me to keep going.

Still, I pushed through each day, taking it one pop-up at a time.

And I’m so glad I did, because of the gifts of friendship and community that helped me through.💛

As most entrepreneurs know, a full eight hours of sleep is a luxury! (I believe I only managed about three hours the night before.)

Luckily, my dear friends, Long Nguyen of and James Makowski of came to the rescue.

As always, they went out of their way to accommodate my food allergies with off-menu dishes that made sure Tho and I stayed nourished in our sleep-deprived states.

Although I couldn’t enjoy PKR’s MHAFW special because of my onion allergy, Long made me a simple bowl of chopped lettuce generously drizzled with fish sauce, and James made a bowl of fried tofu with cabbage, drizzled with sweet chilli sauce.🍲

I know it might sound like a small thing, but I take it as a symbol of the friendship and community that MHAFW has fostered between SRF and other local businesses.

It was a humbling reminder of the friends who keep us nourished so we have the energy to keep going.❤️‍🩹

Thank you, Long and James, for being our friends and for making sure that Tho and I have the fuel to do what we’re best at—making Denver’s best choux and SEA desserts!

& Shout out to everyone else who hosted us this year!

And of course, thank you to all of you, our loyal community of choux lovers, who took the time to come and visit us and support our growing bakery. This wouldn’t be possible without you!

We’ll see you at the next one!
