ATTENTION!!! CBU will be closed today. Its been 8 years, 6 months, and 18 days since we first opened the doors to this place. That's 3121 days. In that time we have maintained a pretty spotless track record of being open every day that our sign says we're supposed to be. It's been a matter of pride to some degree, but it's more a matter of determination to meet expectations of what a business should be. That said, over the last 2 weeks we have experienced what will heretofore be named the "Staffpocalypse of 2026". There's a lot of stuff going on in our crew currently and it's a small group. In the past, I have always been there to plug the holes in the dam to keep things running. I've missed out on a lot of stuff during that time. But today, my son Lincoln (CBU's sandwich slinging cook) is leaving for school in NY. We're driving him there and moving him in. It's been planned for a long time, and frankly, I'm not willing to miss it. Due to the aforementioned "Staffpocalypse" there is no one to work today. I tried to cobble together several solutions, but nothing panned out. A traditionally busy night of the week that generates zero revenue is a nasty hit to a business this small, but it is what it is. The plan is to reopen Friday at 4pm. Trivia will return next Thursday. My apologies to anyone whose plans are messed up by this tonight.
