Five years ago, a fresh-faced nineteen-year-old named Katy Marten walked through the doors of Lucy’s and began as a hostess. Since then, we have had the privilege of watching her grow through nearly every role on our team: server assistant, server, shift leader, and manager on duty.
But Katy’s story at Lucy’s is about so much more than the positions she held. It is about the extraordinary young woman she became along the way.
Katy has served our guests and loved her Lucy’s family with hard work, grace, integrity, and genuine care. Her strong faith and beautiful values have always been evident in the way she treats others and in the light she brings into every room.
She says that she grew up at Lucy’s, but the truth is that Lucy’s grew because of her, too. She has left a lasting mark on our restaurant, our team, and all of us who have had the joy of working beside her.
As Katy begins her next chapter and prepares for a future in medicine, we could not be prouder. We know she will carry the same compassion, strength, and servant’s heart wherever God leads her.
Katy, thank you for five unforgettable years. You will always be part of the Lucy’s family, and you will always have a home here.
