“Jesus Paid It All.”
If you've visited The Shark Shack, you may have noticed this little sign sitting near our register.
Many customers love commenting, taking pictures or asking "does this mean our meal is covered?" 😉 in response to this sign. We would love to share what this little sign means to our family:
And just to clarify… no, it doesn't mean Jesus paid for your fish tacos. 😉🌮
But He did pay a debt far greater than any bill we could ever receive.
The Bible teaches us that sin comes with a debt, and that debt must be paid. Scripture tells us that “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22).
Every one of us has sinned. Every one of us falls short of the glory of God. And none of us could ever be “good enough” to erase that debt ourselves.
"Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins." (Ecclesiastes 7:20)
So God did something extraordinary.
He sent His Son. ❤️
Jesus lived the sinless life we could not live and willingly gave His life on the cross. His blood became the payment for our sin—not because He owed the debt, but because we did.
And He paid it in full.
Through Jesus, the separation that sin created between us and God can be overcome. He made a way—a bridge back to the Father—so that through faith in Him, we can be forgiven, reconciled to God, and have the promise of eternal life with Him in Heaven.
That's what “Jesus Paid It All” means to our family.
It's why those words sit beside the register at The Shark Shack. Our faith isn't something we leave at home when we come to work. This business is one of the many blessings God has entrusted to our family, and we never want to miss an opportunity to give the glory back to Him.
So yes… you'll still have to pay for your shrimp tacos. 😂🦐
But the debt that matters for eternity?
Jesus already paid it.
Not partially.
Not temporarily.
Paid. In. Full. ✝️❤️
“It is finished.” — John 19:30
To God be the glory. 🙌
