Just a reminder that you can make a Blue Moon sourdough loaf!
If you love Blue Moon b**r with an orange slice, imagine turning those flavors into a loaf of sourdough bread. The b**r replaces the water, and a little fresh orange zest brings out those citrus notes.
Blue Moon sourdough recipe
* 500g bread flour
* 150g active sourdough starter
* 325g Blue Moon Belgian White b**r
* 12g salt
* Zest of 1 orange
* 15-20g honey (optional)
Instructions:
1. Open your b**r and let it sit until most of the carbonation disappears.
2. Mix all ingredients until a shaggy dough forms.
3. Rest for 30 minutes.
4. Complete 3 to 4 sets of stretch and folds, 30 minutes apart.
5. Allow the dough to bulk ferment until it’s airy, jiggly, and has risen approximately 50%.
6. Shape and refrigerate overnight.
7. Preheat your Dutch oven to 450°F.
8. Bake covered for 25 minutes, then uncovered for 20 minutes.
You’ll end up with A crusty sourdough loaf with subtle wheat b**r flavor, citrus notes, and just a touch of sweetness.
