Magnolia Room recently stopped by ATL Live Show to share some easy and delicious ways to incorporate more fresh produce into your daily meals!

Fresh ingredients are at the heart of what we do, and we're proud to source much of our produce from Sherry's Produce right here in Tucker. Their commitment to quality helps us serve the fresh, flavorful vegetables and fruits our guests enjoy every day.

We're grateful to ATL Live for the opportunity to talk about healthy eating, supporting local businesses, and the importance of fresh ingredients in Southern cooking.

Shirelle Summers is the friendly face and steady hand behind Magnolia Room’s serving line. She brings a small-town warmth to our Cafeteria that guests notice before they even sit down.

Born in Walterboro, South Carolina, Shirelle moved to Atlanta in 1987 and has been feeding folks in Southern Cafeterias ever since. She began at Morrison’s, then Picadilly, and served at the last S&S in Atlanta until the day it closed. She has been our welcoming ambassador at Magnolia Room for nearly nine years.

Here at Magnolia, she says the variety and the quality of the dishes we serve inspire her. She says our cooking reminds her of home in South Carolina, which we all regard as high praise.

CEO Louis Squires praises her caring and friendly service: “Shirelle embodies the spirit of Southern hospitality. She welcomes all customers as if they were family, with kind words and carefully plates their orders. It simply would not be Magnolia Room without her.”

All 38 members of the Magnolia team look forward to welcoming you and delighting your palate on Father’s Day weekend.

The weekend star of the show will be a center cut choice Rib Eye. This steak is dry aged for 21 days to yield a bold and beefy flavor. Sourced from the same butcher that many upscale Atlanta steak houses use, we are confident that Dad will give it two forks up!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Oh my goodness I can’t wait to go back and I just left 😆! The absolute best catfish I’ve eaten loved the batter on it. My sides were cabbage and squash casserole both were outstanding! So was the egg custard pie and even the deviled egg and Mexican cornbread were exceptional. Enjoyed the atmosphere everything socially distanced and the staff were masked and so kind and helpful!
