After three and a half years of service we have made the
heartbreaking and difficult decision to close Redbird’s doors. Our
final service will be Sunday, February 19. We are truly thankful to
all who have supported us in that time.
For restaurants like Redbird – independent restaurants of exceptional
quality – the business model is becoming increasingly unsustainable.
As the costs of running upscale full-service restaurants continue to
rise all operators are forced to examine their values closely and
to act accordingly. That is what we have done.
We have always stood for using exceptional products, hiring the best
people and operating with the highest level of consistency. We hold
our heads high, knowing that we have held onto those values even in the
face of dire consequences. I am proud of our team, and credit them with
all of our successes. Without their hard work and sacrifice, none of
our accomplishments would have been possible.
As our industry moves into an uncertain future, we are moving with it,
and hope to find responsible ways to serve great food that makes
people happy. We will always look back on our time at Redbird fondly,
as we hope you do, and we look forward to whatever comes next with
excitement.
Until then, stay hungry.
