SweetWater Brewery's Brew Your Cask Off

On July 1, 2015, some new Georgia laws went live, giving breweries in Georgia the opportunity to offer souvenir beer at our brewery tours. This opened up some great access to customers for the entire craft beer industry in the state, but also limits us in some ways – including how we do Brew Your Cask Off.

We could bore you with all the nitty gritty, but it comes down to the fact that you, as our guests, wouldn’t get the full experience of trying all the fantastic casks due to sampling limitations under the new law.

So instead of putting on what we feel could be a mediocre event while we’re figuring out the new lay of the legal land, we figured we’d take our time noodling on the how to tweak it so it’s not only fantastic but legal as well – whether it’s Brew Your Cask Off 2.0 or something entirely different down the road. We’ll keep you posted.

Hennessy Transportation is running a shuttle between the Lindbergh MARTA station and our brewery from 6-11pm. Pickup will be at SIP Coffee - look for a sign that says "Brew Your Cask Off"
