So there’s the humble….now here comes the brag.
They’re not wrong. This sandwich is the truth. As Facebook reminded me last month I’ve been serving some version of this sandwich for 10 years now. First on the food truck. Then at Dish Dive and the Castle. Finally mastering it here at Firewall. And I’m still working on it. To that end: ask for it “Sam’s Way” next time and you’ll get the classic Italian plus a schmear of zhoug and some fresh white onions. Cuz sometimes you SHOULD mess with a good thing.

After a Homer’s Oddysey through the Kiwi bush, we’re back y’all! Though there were no sirens of the sea on this adventure (unless you count those seductive green lipped mussels), there were: hella mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, epic seascapes, majestic caves, rainforests, blowholes, more sheep than people, more cows than people, some alpacas, a castle, a campervan, that Wanaka Tree, a petrified forest, fiords on fiords on fiords, barrels of Sauvy B, and my sister’s wedding. Sweet as! But now we’re refreshed and ready to fire up Burny for the new year and stuff your faces with that chronic you love. The question is….are you???
