Let’s start the week off with an introduction and show some gratitude to the Sweet by Simóne supporters, shall we?

My name is Simóne Fontaine. I am the owner of Sweet by Simóne. I specialize in designing special occasion cakes and upscale luxury dessert displays. I began baking when I was in graduate school at for a fundraiser to study abroad in China. I never dreamt that a short campaign to raise funds for school would turn into a profitable business, nevertheless; Sweet by Simóne was born out of serendipitous circumstances.

When I think about the place I was in last year, I have to acknowledge the blessing of where I am now, even if I’m not where I’d like to be. Over the this past year, I have received so much support and expanded my clientele. I have been testing out new techniques and I remain committed to the luxury experience for my clients!

I have to give a special thank you to a few people for their support. First, to Ms. Sabrina for her Cake Accelorator program. She coached me on how to maneuver within the wedding industry, price my products, identify my target market and so much more. To Ms. Ardeletta and Ms. Danyelle for always answering my questions about techniques and sharing your resources. Thank you to my mom for being my assistant and my uncle and my sister for being my business consultants. Thanks to my Dad for being the heavy lifter and transportation whenever I’m unable. Thank you to my friends for the late night talks, last minute prep, putting up with my bossiness, and offering assistance when I didn’t know how to ask. To all of my business besties for providing a space to speak about our entrepreneurial goals, aspirations, and woes. To everyone that likes and shares a post and of course to all of my 2021 clients THANK YOU! This has been my biggest year so far and I am claiming it will only get bigger and better from here!!!
