Welcome to Sidebar, a brick stunner born in 1916, boasting an exhilarating and vibrant history that endures to this day! From the roaring nights of its daring gambling escapades in the '30s to the dazzling era of a French Cafe and the lively Lounge in the '60s, this place has always been alive with excitement! ✨
Originally known as The Pullman in 1916, it was a mesmerizing den of "bachelor apartments." In 1937, detectives raided the 3rd floor Pullman Club, discovering 36 gambling enthusiasts. In 1953, the legendary Emil Blanc, owner of Emile's, acquired 79 Poplar to expand his beloved cafe/restaurant. Then, the reins were passed to Thomas Biuso in 1960-as the vibrant and stylish Poodle Lounge! 🍸💃
