You gave us feedback about our sandwiches and we listened! MEND is now serving the same sandwiches you love, now on soft, perfectly baked focaccia bread. Thanks for helping us make our menu the best it can be!

“I visited MEND to see other people like me fitting in seamlessly into a community.”

For some customers, a visit to MEND is about so much for than coffee. Spending time is our space is a way to feel more welcome in the world, especially for our guests living with disabilities, like Karah.

We believe that people like Karah deserve seamless access to the joys of good coffee and social connection in a lovely space. Until every business is able to warmly welcome people living with disabilities, we are so proud to offer customers like Karah a seat at our table.

Our team is the heart of MEND, and nobody says it better than they do. We asked our teammate Leila what she loves about MEND, and her answer says it all.

“Working at MEND has allowed me to see the genuine, unfiltered side of people and meet them exactly where they are. I am consistently reminded of the power of ‘unreasonable hospitality,’ especially through our inter-ability staff and the extra care we take to make sure everyone is comfortable and cared for. Whether it’s a regular or a first time guest, I love knowing that compassion can change someone’s day.”

Check out Myles’s strategy for staying on task and building workplace stamina: Task-Chunking!

For Myles, this simple accommodation looks like writing one specific task on a single notecard.

How it started: Myles would complete 2-3 cards, then check in with a supervisor.
How it’s going: Today, he tackles an entire stack completely on his own!

We are so incredibly proud of Myles’s growth, efficiency, and independence.

Employers: Do you have anyone on your team who might benefit from a simple workplace accommodation like this?
