"How hard could it be to patrol the Moon?" You might ask yourself, upon looking at the latest arcade game to grace our floors, the seminal Moon Patrol.

"There's just a bunch of cheese and the bones of dead astronauts up there, what do you have to patrol against?". SO MUCH TO PATROL AGAINST, FRIEND!

You'll contend against flying saucers, rolling boulders, rover-sized Venus flytraps, UFOs that aren't shaped like flying saucers, laser tanks, and your crushing sense of existential despair as you realize that the Moon is not cold and dead, but, in fact, alive...and deadly.

MOON PATROL, the 1982 Williams classic, is a darling of a game, with a charming soundtrack and a delightful little moon rover that hops and bops as you scroll across the endless terrain of Luna's illimitable surface, cragged with danger and LOADED WITH FUN!!!!

It was one year ago today that we first opened our doors to you, Athens!!!! AND IT HAS BEEN A MAGIC CARPET RIDE EVER SINCE!!!!!

Thank you all so much for your warm welcome and wonderful patronage over this past spin 'round the sun. WE APPRECIATE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

Before we opened, It wasn't clear whether Athens was hungry for a funkaledic cyberpunk post-futurist underground neon arcade bar--but it turns out, y'all were clamoring for it!

So come on in today, and wish us a happy birthday!

We've got a couple of events to celebrate this milestone: from 2:30-5:30 all patrons under the age of 18 will get one half hour free for every one half hour paid, a matching program sponsored by Central Avenue Church!

And all day long, we're going to have a receipt raffle--write your name and phone number on the back of your receipt from today's visit, throw it in our prize bowl, and one lucky winner will be selected to win a $50 gift card!!

So we just wanted to let you know, if you were thinking about joining pinball league but couldn't make it last week, YOU CAN STILL JOIN TOMORROW NIGHT!!!
