Exactly 20 years ago, Peppino’s Pizzeria opened its doors for the first time at the corner of Whitehall and South Milledge. Peppino’s Pizzeria was known by students as the late-night spot once located in downtown Athens. At his new location, Joe Peppino transformed his restaurant into a family-friendly atmosphere serving the taste of Italy.

We were awarded beautiful business of the month by Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful organization! Their mission is “educate and empower citizens and businesses with the resources to take action as environmental stewards of litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification.” We appreciate this award and will continue to help our community be beautiful!
