As many of you have heard and probably already know, we will closing our bakery November 27th. This is not necessarily the end of Bonfiglio and Bread but a personal hiatus; we are taking this time to focus on our life and family.
Many of our colleagues might agree that between staffing and extreme seasonality continuing on was affecting our ability to care for our family and have the personal freedoms so many outside the food industry enjoy and, perhaps, take for granted. This is not to say that Bonfiglio has ever been a disappointment or a burden; much to the contrary, this past year has been our best with the support of our community, both in Greene and Columbia County, as well as the many travelers we all come to rely upon. We want to thank everyone who helped get us to this point and are so grateful to communities of people locally who have supported us for the last ten years through all of the iterations. Specific thanks is due to our friends and landlords who are, and have been, true stewards of our particular art. People like this are invaluable, as are the countless friends and colleagues we have made through this decade long adventure. We look forward to reigniting our passion and sharing it with you all when the time is right.
