THE R&R CRAWL: LA EDITION CONTINUES!
This is our sixth stop and it’s at Picnic Coffee !!
Loved the way they leaned into the primary colors & picnic theme. Definitely a very small cafe & could see why they had the seats outside, but definitely one to check out. It’s one of the newer shops on the Sunset Silverlake Strip & we look forward to seeing them grow more!

It’s time for Unity. We all deserve to be able to speak about the issues that are impacting us as a community. This means listening to each other. Looking each other in the face and acknowledging that we cannot be single issues based or special agenda focused. Our city needs unity. Our community has come a long way and we have more work to do. My campaign for re-election is not about single issues, endorsements or slick politics. It’s about the hard work I have put in since I was elected. This hard work is the backbone of my campaign. Over the next few months I will show how my hard work has made permanent, overdue changes to the systematic functioning of the city, policy development and building resiliency for our home. It doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t happen in one term. Unity isn’t impossible. We don’t have to give up who we are to build the future we deserve.

When I first received a text message from an unknown number last week, my first thought was “who tf gave out my number?” But this message didn’t sound like the 10+ other spam texts I typically receive on any given weekday.
I may never know how Ruth Fremson got ahold of me directly, but I’m sure glad she did.

These are the warm fuzzy feelings of community pride & camaraderie that propel me forward in this challenging industry, especially during a timeline/economy that has small businesses & consumers in a chokehold.

I’m beyond proud of the resilience of Astoria (& the entire length of the North Coast).
I’m tickled to be in the good company of our friends & neighbors who pull the same endless hours we do. I’m honored to stand among my fellow small business owners in the warm glow of The New York Times
Hard-earned & well-deserved. 🥹
Recognition on this scale just feels really damn good, that’s all.
