Dear Pasty Fans,
After more than 4 amazing years on Main Street in Ashland, we are sad to announce that Copper Pasty's last day of business will be Friday, August 28. This decision has not been easy. I will be moving back to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, bringing Copper Pasty back to the homeland of the U.P. pasty.
Copper Pasty has been through many transitions, from farmers' markets in Washington State to community kitchens, and finally to our brick-and-mortar shop here in Ashland WI. Along the way, we've had the privilege of meeting so many incredible customers who supported our small business and shared our love of pasties. My grandparents showed me how to make pasties, and I have truly enjoyed learning about other people's history with pasties, or introducing them to an amazing food they have never heard of before.
We're not sure exactly what the next chapter holds for Copper Pasty, but this isn't necessarily goodbye forever. There may be opportunities to ship pasties in the future. As we prepare for this transition, we are unable to accept advance orders due to limited staffing. We appreciate your patience as we bake as many fresh pasties as possible during our final weeks.
