Would you like to explore your creative side and free your inner wild child? 23 Skidoo is a Grammy winning hip hop artist specializing in family entertainment. On top of touring with his band across the globe, he's also taught a workshop/residency program called RHYMES OF PASSAGE to family crowds from Asheville to Australia. At each event, Skidoo guides participants through writing their own original rhymes and performing them loud and proud in front of the crowd! Does that idea make you sweat? GOOD! The point of this class is to learn to access your own creative power and overcome your fear of speaking up! It's a rite of passage, but you get to perform with a supportive community that are all going through the same experience with you.

And now, for the first time *ever,* 23 Skidoo is offering this workshop to grownups. He thought that Hatch would be the perfect place to launch this new venture, so let's prove him right! Show up ready to open up and have a blast in a non competitive, curiously creative environment. You never know what's inside you till you let it out!

We’re heading back to the mountains!

Join us for a Guided Nature Hike at Graveyard Fields on Saturday, June 13. Sitting over 5,000 feet up along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Graveyard Fields is one of WNC’s most scenic summer spots — think mountain meadows, waterfalls, boardwalks, and yes, wild blueberry patches. 🫐

We’ll explore the trail at a relaxed pace, soak in the views, and hunt for a few ripe blueberries along the way. Afterward, stick around for a casual picnic at the trailhead — bring a sandwich, your favorite beverage, a snack to share, and a camp chair or blanket if you’d like to linger into the afternoon.
