FYI……we don’t have fancy tablecloths, we don’t have expensive w**e, we don’t have a host stand, and we definitely don’t have a Michelin Star, but DAMN our food is tasty! 🔥🔥Don’t believe me……come try it!

One year ago today, we opened the doors to the new Zella’s.

After Helene, reopening didn’t mean cleaning up the old place and putting everything back where it belonged. We had to leave Swannanoa, find a new home, and rebuild Zella’s completely from scratch.

But we were able to bring a few pieces of the old place with us. The tables and chairs. The Boylan machine, because apparently that thing can survive anything. 😂 And the old outdoor awnings that now hang above the counter.

Those things may not mean much to anyone else, but they mean a lot to us. They’re pieces of the Zella’s we lost, now living inside the Zella’s we built.

There were plenty of moments when none of this felt possible. But one year later, the room is full, the grill is going, people are eating at those same tables, and there’s usually a line at that same Boylan machine.

We will never be able to thank our staff, families, friends, and this community enough. Every person who walked through our new doors, shared a post, told a friend, or simply rooted for us helped bring Zella’s back to life.

These pictures say the rest.

One year in our new home. Still here. Still Zella’s. And more grateful than we can possibly say.

Y’all wore us OUT this weekend 😂❤️

We got absolutely slammed, which is the best problem in the world to have, but we’re running low on a ton things and our crew needs a little time to regroup and prep. We make almost everything in-house, so when it’s gone, it’s gone.

So we’re closing at 5PM today and will be back at it tomorrow for Meatball Monday.

Our front-of-house guru, Graham, recently informed us that we have now sold ONE MILE of Johnny’s Italians this year.

As with most of Graham’s “statistics,” we felt obligated to verify this information.

We checked the sales. We measured the sandwich. We did the math. We questioned Graham’s methodology.

Aaaaaand…YEP. He is correct.

You people have eaten an entire mile of Johnny’s Italians—and counting. That’s more than 5,280 feet of salami, capicola, pepperoni, provolone and questionable decision-making.

Honestly, we’re impressed. Graham is feeling extremely vindicated.

Thanks for taking this ridiculous journey with us, Asheville. 🥪😂

There’s a reason all four of these taps say Pisgah.

We remember the early days of Pisgah Brewing — when “going to Pisgah” meant heading downstairs for a tasting at a little local brewery that was just getting started.

A lot has changed since then.

They’ve grown. They’ve evolved. They’ve weathered some storms. So have we.

But one thing that hasn’t changed is the way Pisgah has treated us: like family.

And at Zella’s, family means something.

We’re a family-run local business, and we believe the businesses that grow up alongside you — the ones that answer the phone, show up when you need them, and genuinely want to see you succeed — deserve your loyalty.
