🚨 COMMUNITY AWARENESS ALERT 🚨
We want to make our customers and local businesses aware of a suspected cash-change scam that has recently been reported at multiple businesses in our area.
The individual is reportedly driving a white Toyota Tacoma 4-door pickup with Texas license plate VZB-7319.
The scam typically involves:
• Paying with cash.
• Cancels the order and wants is money back.
• Requesting a refund or cancellation shortly after paying.
• Creating confusion about the amount of money originally handed to the cashier.
• Switches the $20 for a $1 bill.
Once you say you are getting manager to look at the camera footage he drives off.
We are sharing this information so other businesses and community members can remain aware and take appropriate precautions when handling cash transactions.
