🌯🔥 FROM STUDENT IDEA ➡️ TO DISTRICT MENU!

Yesterday, the Cheesy Buffalo Mac Wrap officially hit the menu across Arlington ISD — but this recipe’s story started long before yesterday. 💙

Created by the Seguin High School Culinary team, with student chef Q at the forefront, this dish has been on quite the journey!

👨‍🍳 First, the idea came to life.
Q and his culinary team developed the Cheesy Buffalo Mac Wrap in the classroom kitchen at Sequin High School.

🍴 Then came the first big showcase.
Q proudly presented the dish and shared the team’s work at our By Students 4 Students Showcase, putting their recipe in front of students and the Food & Nutrition Services team.

🎪 Next stop: Taste of Arlington ISD!
The recipe made its way beyond the school walls, where Q had the opportunity to serve it and show off his team’s creation to the greater Arlington community.

🌯 And yesterday, it came full circle.
The Cheesy Buffalo Mac Wrap officially made its way onto the school menu for students across Arlington ISD to enjoy!

This is what By Students 4 Students is all about — giving students the opportunity to take an idea from the classroom, develop it, share it, receive feedback and ultimately see something they created served in our cafeterias.

🔥¡DEL INGENIO ESTUDIANTIL ➡️ AL MENÚ DEL DISTRITO!

Ayer, el Cheesy Buffalo Mac Wrap llegó oficialmente al menú de Arlington ISD, pero la historia de esta receta comenzó mucho antes. 💙

Creada por el equipo de Artes Culinarias de Seguin High School, por el estudiante chef Q como protagonista, ¡esta receta ha recorrido un increíble camino!

👨‍🍳 Primero, la idea cobró vida.
Chef Q y su equipo de Artes Culinarias desarrollaron el Cheesy Buffalo Mac Wrap en la cocina de su salón de clases en Seguin High School.

🍴 Después llegó la primera gran presentación.
chef Q presentó con orgullo el platillo y compartió el trabajo de su equipo durante nuestro evento By Students 4 Students Showcase, mostrando su receta ante estudiantes y el equipo de Servicios de Alimentación y Nutrición.

🎪 La siguiente parada fue: Taste of Arlington ISD.
La receta trascendió las paredes de la escuela, donde Chef Q tuvo la oportunidad de servirla y presentar la creación de su equipo a la comunidad de Arlington.

🌯 Y ayer, la historia cerró el círculo.
¡El Cheesy Buffalo Mac Wrap llegó oficialmente al menú escolar para que los estudiantes de todo Arlington ISD pudieran disfrutarlo!

🏆 Today, we’re celebrating two well-deserving Arlington ISD Food & Nutrition Services teams!

🌟 Lynn Hale Elementary’s cafeteria superstars proudly received the Best Serving Line of the Month Award for August 2026! This incredible team takes great pride in creating a serving line that is clean, welcoming and beautifully decorated for students.

📸 We’re also celebrating the cafeteria heroes at Rankin Elementary for submitting the Best School Meal Photo of the Month! Their photo captured the care, pride and hard work they put into serving students each day.

Congratulations to both teams! Thank you for creating cafeteria experiences worth celebrating! 🎉🍎

Yesterday, we celebrated Labor Day and the hardworking people whose dedication, talent, and care make Arlington ISD such a special place. We are especially thankful for our incredible Food & Nutrition Services team, who work each day to nourish our students and help them succeed.

Loaded with crispy tater tots, savory turkey sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese, this student-inspired breakfast was truly made for the Viking in you!

We are so proud to see another incredible By Students 4 Students creation go from the culinary classroom to breakfast trays across Arlington ISD! 🙌

Our talented Lamar High School Culinary students had the opportunity to join FOX 4 and share more about Arlington ISD’s By Students, 4 Students program and the work that goes into bringing student-created recipes to our cafeterias!

August has been BUSY in Arlington ISD Food & Nutrition Services, and we couldn’t be more excited about the way we kicked off the year!

One of our biggest highlights? We debuted THREE By Students 4 Students recipes on our menus! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

That’s THREE student-inspired recipes in ONE month! 🙌 Each one represents months of creativity, collaboration, taste testing and hard work — and seeing these ideas go from the culinary classroom to cafeterias across Arlington ISD is what By Students 4 Students is all about. ❤️

And our teams have been working just as hard behind the scenes, serving hundreds of thousands of meals while creating welcoming cafeterias where students can fuel up and be ready to learn.

Nuestros equipos también han estado trabajando arduamente detrás de escena, sirviendo cientos de miles de comidas y creando cafeterías acogedoras donde nuestros estudiantes pueden alimentarse bien y estar listos para aprender.

The Sam Houston Class of 2027 kicked off their final year of high school with Senior Sunrise, and Food & Nutrition Services was there to help make the morning extra special! ❤️💙

Our seniors showed up in style with painted jeans, homemade Class of 2027 shirts, and plenty of school spirit — and we showed up with BREAKFAST! 🙌🍳
