🎉 Columbia Pike leaders celebrate years of roadwork coming to an end

Arlington County leaders marked the substantial completion of the Columbia Pike infrastructure improvements with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating enhancements aimed at benefiting bus riders, pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists. The $161 million project, funded by local taxes and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, addressed long-standing concerns and disruptions from roadwork that began in 2009 and included widened sidewalks, new streetlights, and underground utility relocation along the busy corridor.
