Hello everyone! We are the new owners of the Argyle Pub and Grill! Jon and Sarah. This has been a wild ride and a long journey. We have long dreamed of owning a family run restaurant. In May we contacted Mark and Valerie to inquire about the pub. Five months they have been dealing with us! They are the sweetest souls you'll ever meet for sure. We were so impressed with the legacy they have built, the people that love them and their warm and welcoming ways that we wanted to buy into it and have it be part of our legacy. We have looked into many many ventures like this and they have all fallen short of what we wanted. The town of Argyle, Mark and Valerie, their staff and all of the friendliest people that we have met just made us want to go all in! I can't express how grateful I am to Mark and Valerie for the business they have built and their generosity of their time and knowledge over these last five months. We plan to open October 15th keeping the same Thursday through Saturday schedule for now. More updates to come!

Please join me in welcoming the new owners of the Argyle Pub & Grill—Sarah and her husband, Jon!

Sarah and John are truly wonderful people, and I’m so excited for them as they begin this new chapter. I know they will be thrilled to see all of your familiar, smiling faces and experience the same warmth and support this community has shown me over the years.

Sarah brings extensive experience in the food industry and definitely knows her way around the kitchen. For now, they plan to continue offering the current menu and maintaining the existing hours. Sarah will also be offering homemade baked goods, and the House Dressing that so many of you enjoy will still be available!

As I mentioned before, this is a bittersweet ending for me. Leaving the Argyle Pub & Grill and this incredible community is not easy, but I’m also excited to see what this new chapter of my life will bring. For a while, I’ll be enjoying time with my family and, of course, my grandson. ❤️

I would also like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Blake Werner with Werner & Co. Real Estate. His expertise, professionalism, and ability to make this transition seamless were truly exceptional. Thank you, Blake, for everything!

Most of all, thank you to every person who has walked through the doors, shared a meal, celebrated a special occasion, offered encouragement, or simply stopped in to say hello. It has been an absolute pleasure serving the patrons of the Argyle Pub & Grill and the surrounding communities. Over the years, I have made so many wonderful friends and acquaintances—people I will treasure forever. You have made this place so much more than a business; you made it feel like home.

I’m incredibly grateful for all of the memories and support you have given me, and I’m excited to see Sarah and John carry the Argyle Pub & Grill into its next chapter. Please welcome them with open arms and continue to give them the same love and support you have given me over the years.

I plan to be around for a while, so I’m sure I’ll see many of you there!

September flew by fast, and it’s already our last weekend as owners of the Pub.❤️ We have some great specials, and be sure to check our page throughout the weekend for some “extras!”

Specials include Buckets of B**r with each having 6 beers in them at a great price! Thursday night we welcome the talented Faith Ann Meyer, and our Fried Chicken Dinner for one last time.💞

Friday enjoy one of our favorite dinners-the Smothered Chicken Dinner with your choice of two sides and Texas toast. Saturday we will have a limited menu with sandwiches and appetizers available (no salad or dinners). And available all weekend is the decadent homemade Brownie Cheesecake Bar.

It has been so great seeing all of you the past few weeks, and we anticipate quite a crowd this weekend-see you soon!💖

We’re back, and have some amazing specials for you this weekend! The classic Seagram’s 7 cocktail is always a great choice, and Thursday night is our in-house Fried Chicken Dinner with real mashed potatoes and homemade gravy, and your choice of green beans or salad. Friday & Saturday is our yummy Fish Tacos with crispy fried fish topped with homemade slaw, homemade crème sauce and cheese. And dessert all weekend is the delicious homemade Bread Pudding with butter glaze-see you soon!!

Welcome September and Labor Day weekend, so let’s celebrate with some yummy specials! All Bottled B**r will be on special and we will have it nice and cold for you. Thursday & Friday enjoy our Frog Legs Dinner that includes 3 pair of legs and your choice of two sides. Dessert is the made-from-scratch decadent Butterfinger Lush. And just a reminder we will be closed Saturday for the holiday-see you soon!

To Our Loved Customers, Family & Friends,

The time has come to share some very bittersweet news: we have a contract on the sale of the Argyle Pub. Our last day in operation will be Saturday, September 26.

The new owners are extremely nice, welcoming people, and we truly believe they are the perfect fit to continue the legacy of the Argyle Pub. We are confident they will continue to provide the great food, great prices, and welcoming atmosphere that you have come to expect.

We will honor all unexpired gift certificates through our closing date, so please be sure to stop in and use yours before September 26.

It has been an amazing seven-year adventure, and it has been an absolute honor to serve each and every one of you. While this is certainly a bittersweet ending to a very special chapter, I will always cherish the countless memories we have made, the friendships that have grown over the years, and, most of all, our incredible “Pub Family.”

I also want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to our amazing staff and family — to those who helped us get started, those who worked alongside us throughout the years, and those who are currently part of our team. We could never have done this without you.

To our customers: thank you for your support, your loyalty, your laughter, your celebrations, and for allowing us to be a part of so many special moments in your lives. You have meant more to us than you will ever know.

There is so much love and gratitude in my heart as I close this chapter. ❤️

It’s already the last weekend of August-where did the time go?? Let’s enjoy our original Gin Rickey, and Thursday night is our in-house Fried Chicken Dinner.
