Follow up to house fire at Bob & Shari Burkmier’s: IN THE COMMENT SECTION, I will link their Amazon wish list for items needed, their Go Fund Me, and an donation account at a local bank. Also, we are still accepting cash donations and gift cards on their behalf at the store.

Bob & Shari lost everything in their home with the exception of their turtle and an old sewing machine, and sadly, their beloved pet dog, Rosie, perished in the fire. Let us continue to keep Bob & Shari in our thoughts and prayers and help with their needs if we are able. “If you haven’t got a penny, a ha’penny will do. Good morning Arcadia. As most of you probably know, our dear friends and locals Bob & Shari Burkmier had a house fire yesterday. Our wonderful Washington Township firefighters responded quickly and the family was not hurt. I don’t have a lot of details on extent of damage, but I can imagine there is lot of damage if not a total loss. I don’t want to waste any time in helping them, so I already have a donation jar on the counter. Please help if you can, and if you can’t help monetarily, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They are going to need a lot of support. 🙏

Just thinking out loud here. I can’t scroll through FB without seeing posts about the Big Boy 4014 train or reports on the parasitic outbreak, Cyclosporiasis. With all the reports of hours long traffic lines waiting to see the train in Fostoria yesterday, I have to wonder how many people suddenly felt a rumble, not from the track, but from their gut. Jeez. Never saw so many people talk so openly about their explosive diarrhea. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 What a world we live in. I hope I don’t get it. But if I do, I promise not to tell you. 😉😉

Just a reminder that the Big Boy 4014 will be departing Fostoria Wednesday morning at 9 am and heading our direction. If you haven’t seen it or want to see it again, this is your chance! Witness a part of American history right here in the “idyllic and quiet rural paradise” of Arcadia, Ohio! The train can be seen rolling through town but will not be stopping here.
