Breakfast sandwiches have officially made their way to Sunny Dea’s. Toasted Texas toast, egg and melty cheese with your choice of sausage, ham or bacon, plus your choice of one of our three spreads on the side.

We’ve been working to bring you these for a while, and we’re pretty excited to finally say… breakfast is served!

Today we get to celebrate someone pretty special around here. Our son turns 26!

This amazing “kid” (who would like us to remind everyone that he is, in fact, NOT a kid) is actually a pretty big part of the reason Sunny Dea Sweet Treats exists.

When we started dreaming up this little business, we needed something that gave us the flexibility to work around his day program, services, appointments, meetings and all the other pieces of life that don't always fit neatly into a regular work schedule. Somewhere along the way, that need for flexibility turned into Sunny Dea’s.

Of course, if you ask him, none of that really matters because Sunny Dea Sweet Treats has only one proper name:

The Candy Shop.
..and honestly, we’ve stopped trying to correct him. So today, while we may call it Sunny Dea’s, we’re celebrating one of the original reasons behind “The Candy Shop.”

Happy 26th Birthday to our very favorite not-a-kid. We love you more than you know. ❤️

Sourdough fans, here’s your heads up!

Get your Burridge Baked pre-order in by 4pm today for Monday pickup. After Monday’s delivery, they’re taking a much deserved break and won’t be back until August 27th.

So if you have a favorite loaf you can’t live without, now might be the time to grab an extra one... or two. We won’t judge. 😉

Order by 4pm today!

Running a small business in Arizona in the summer is hard. Half of our clientele heads somewhere cooler, and the other half is just trying not to melt.

With the recent news of Salad and Go restaurant closures, I felt a little nudge to do something different today. I completely recognize that Salad and Go had grown well beyond being a small business, but seeing businesses close is still a reminder of just how important it is to support the places we want to keep around.

Sunny Dea’s is often called a “hidden gem,” which we love... but it also means plenty of people still don’t know we’re here!

Today though, instead of talking about us, we want to shine a little light on some of our favorite locally owned brick-and-mortar businesses. Some you may already love, and some you may have driven past a hundred times without knowing what’s inside.

We’ll start the list, but we’d love for you to add to it. Drop your favorite locally owned brick-and-mortar businesses in the comments and tell us what makes them worth a visit.

Let’s help each other discover a few more local gems. ❤️

Just a few of our faves...
