To all my friends in Anniston,

I hope each and every one of you is doing well.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my time in Anniston, and I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Around this time last year,I remember when my wife and I were back in Anniston and had the opportunity to be part of the Farmers Market. What an incredible experience that was. Seeing so many familiar faces, the long line of people waiting for our food, and the overwhelming support from the community is a memory I will always treasure.

Ashley, thank you for giving us that opportunity. You do an amazing job with the Farmers Market, and I hope the community continues to support it for many years to come.

I also want to thank everyone who came out to see us and enjoy our food. It meant more than you know to see that people still remembered us and loved what we cooked. Your kindness reminded us that the friendships we built over the years were just as important as the restaurant itself. And the best tailgate party at Auburn.

A special thank you to Tracy Sims, Elizabeth Johnson, Jean Ellison at The Music Box, Linda Mann, Marietta Natalia, and so many others who always encouraged and supported us. If I have forgotten to mention your name, please know it is only because there are so many wonderful people who have touched our lives.

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to give you a little update on where we are.

From the bottom of our hearts, we would love nothing more than to come back to Anniston and bring Thai One On back to the community we love. Unfortunately, after looking closely at everything, we’ve realized that rebuilding the building to a condition where we could safely and successfully operate will cost far more than we can afford right now.

We know we would have incredible support from so many of you in Anniston, and that means the world to us. Your kindness, encouragement, and belief in us have never been forgotten. But with the current economy and the financial challenges we face, reopening at this time would be extremely difficult.

We simply want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who has stood by us, prayed for us, reached out, donated, shared kind words, and continued to support us through this journey. Your love has carried us through some very difficult times, and we will always be grateful.

We haven’t given up on the dream. We just have to be patient and wait for the right opportunity. Until then, please know that Anniston will always hold a special place in our hearts.
