When you need current, evidence-based information about the use of medications while breastfeeding, this is the place to call! They can counsel you or you physician on the use of any medications you have been prescribed. They are able to look at your whole situation such as the age of your baby, other medications you're taking, your baby's nursing pattern, and so on. If the medication you're being prescribed is not compatible in your situation, they can suggest alternative medications that are. This is much more in depth that information that is easily located online, or in a book AND it's a free service. Simply call during their open hours.
