Patriot Contractors LLC started on the excavation between our buildings.

It will look so nice when finished!

This space will be way more functional and no longer a place for water to collect, or trees and things to grow. Look at all the roots from former trees.

Fresh paint on our building and new concrete down, will make for a nice addition to downtown Annawan!

Residence of Annawan, IL there is a shiny new fence running from the alley behind Front Street Tap all the way to the end of our Middle Coop property. We appreciate Chris working with us to get this done. 😁

Small but very nice change, with Interstate Fence doing an awesome job!

We have masonry work being done by Patriot Contractors LLC on the Middle Coop moving doors and fixing all holes, cracks, ect.

With their help and we have a new roof, the building should be good for years to come!

Looking forward to painting and new concrete, it will all look so nice!

Little by little.

A fresh coat of paint on the curb. A couple flower pots.

A little cleanup.

None of it changes the world, but it does make our little corner of Annawan look a little better than it did yesterday.

The Middle Coop still has a long way to go, but we're excited to keep bringing an old building back to life.

Started cleaning out the old connection between the future Middle Coop and the former bar next door.

At this point I’ve officially watched too many episodes of American Pickers and not enough episodes of Hoarders.

Every shovel full I’m thinking:

‘THIS is where we find the hidden mason jar full of cash, gold coins, old baseball cards, or prohibition whiskey…’

Instead it’s mostly:
• moldy clothes
• mystery smells
• 47 pounds of wet insulation
• things that should never be wet
• and enough random junk to start a raccoon antique mall.

One of these days we’re gonna uncover a suitcase full of money.

Today was not that day.

Current progress:
• Building is standing
• Rooster has accepted his management position
• Lights work
• Stress level: moderate to severe
• Budget: let’s not discuss that publicly
