Come enjoy the beauty of Mark Twain National Forest and Big Creek while enjoying full-hookup camping! Our 65 big-rig friendly sites sit on 37 acres in the middle of the scenic St. All sites have 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, and cable TV hookups, with free wi-fi throughout the park. Enjoy wading, fishing, and relaxing in the creek, take a swim in the pool, or take the kids to play on our

playground. Other activities include horseshoes, volleyball, mining sluice, giant checkers, beanbags, and wiffle ball. We also have modern, private shower suites that are wheelchair accessible. We fill propane on site and have a 24-hour coin laundry. Nearby attractions include Johnson’s Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks, Black River, Clearwater Lake, and Caledonia—just to name a few. A Memory
New footage was shared with us from that morning on July 11, when Big Creek let loose and came rushing furiously through the park. Looking back at those images and then looking at Big Creek RV Park today, it is amazing to see how far we have come in just two months. Again, we cannot thank our volunteers, family, friends, paid laborers, and supporters enough for the donations, time, hard work, encouragement, and countless ways you came alongside us to help put Big Creek RV Park back together. There is still work to do, but seeing where we started and where we are today is pretty incredible. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped us get here.

Big Creek RV Park Update

Big Creek RV Park is still on the map! It’s hard to believe that less than six weeks ago, Big Creek flooded our park, causing tremendous damage and destruction.
After two weeks of intense labor, along with the incredible help of so many wonderful volunteers and paid laborers, we were able to reopen half of the park. We still have work to do, but we are now almost fully open!

It is truly amazing to see how far we have come in such a short time. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped—whether through hard work, encouragement, donations, or simply being there for us. Every bit of support has made a difference.

Thank you all for helping our family to get Big Creek RV Park back on its feet. We couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️

🔥 What’s new at Big Creek RV Park?
We’re adding new stone fire pits to the pull-through sites 211–221! 🪨🔥

We’re building them one at a time—because apparently we decided to give each fire pit the VIP treatment. 😂

The groundwork is now done: our Big Creek Committee has hashed out exactly where they go, how they should be built, and how to make the process faster. So now that we’ve solved the hard part, our crew should be able to knock these out much quicker.

Our goal? Have them all finished by fall! 🍂🔥

Stay tuned as sites 211–221 get their own little campfire upgrade. And yes… we’re pretty excited about it!

More work is being done. Thanks to many hands Big Creek is being put back together. The pool, the creek and our friendly farm animals are still a big hit. Sites are being raked, bridge was put back in its place, the wooded path is being leveled and holes are being filled, around the clock work. More sites will be open tomorrow. Finishing touches will continue to be added.

After 2 weeks of cleaning, hard work, many volunteers, paid labor, gracious donations, Big Creek RV Park has come a long ways since the flood. Though much is still to do, we are happy to welcome back campers this weekend. As work progresses more sites will open back up. Pool is open, creek is flowing, fire rings are waiting for families and friends to gather together for some evening chat and s’mores.

Thank you so very much to Jimmy, Christy, Cameron, Clayton, Danni, for giving of their time and hard word under a blistering sun to put our playground back together after all of the rubber mulch was washed away by the flood. It looks better than ever. It took many hands (over 50+ people) to get the park to where it is at today. Opening some sites this weekend.

We are thankful at the progress we see each day. Again we could not do it alone. Many gracious hands have gathered together to make it happen. We have still a long way to go but will have limited sites available starting Thursday July 23. Our tractor is struggling it reminds us of the famous kids book of the Little Engine that could. It works hard each day, it stood and kept Dave afloat. Each day is a blessing.
