To the women who were just dining at my restaurant and had the nerve to be disrespectful to my employee and me because I have Black Lives Matter signs in my restaurant windows, please follow through on your promises to warn all of your friends about my restaurant, please do.

Please, let all of your racist friends know that we support Black Lives Matter. We also support our LGBTQ friends and families, too.

To be clear, I will absolutely not allow vitriol and hate to be spread at my restaurant. I will not be silent, even if it costs me a little business. 🏳️‍🌈

For the past few weeks we have been strategizing how we could keep Taro Smoothies at our current location. It’s been a battle up hill for the past few months for every single small local business that was affected by COVID-19. Unfortunately, like so many businesses in the country we found no strategy that we could take besides closing. We are not gone forever; we are working on a possible food truck so that we can share our product with more locations or possibly moving to a new location. This is no fault of the city, state or country, its just the cards we all have been dealt during this pandemic. We will keep working with Feed Anne Arundel, catering jobs and pop-ups days inside other local shops. We will stay active on social media sharing our adventure and dates for our pop-ups.
