I am in need of boxes or storage containers to pack stuff up for what I am keeping. I have a feeling that I am not done with this venture. Everybody told me not to give up. This is just a pause so if you have anything I can use to store stuff you can drop it off today. I will be in at the restaurant around one and be there in a few hours.

Just wanted to reach out and thank Reese, Seth and Dawson for your help yesterday. These three young men came in to help me and did not want anything in return. They helped take stuff off the walls ,move big stuff out to sell. just three wonderful young men helping out a stranger that’s what the community is all about.

On September 21st, the Mayberry Days Festival gets underway in the town of Mount Airy, North Carolina…bringing all of your favorite characters from the iconic Andy Griffith Show to life in the little NC town that inspired Mayberry! Running September 21–27, 2026, the weeklong celebration fills Andy Griffith’s hometown with fans of the classic show. One of the biggest highlights comes Saturday morning with the Mayberry Days Parade, when squad cars, marching bands, special guests, fan clubs, and tribute actors portraying familiar Mayberry faces travel down Main and Rockford streets. Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy live shows, autograph sessions, guided tours, trivia, checkers, music, screenings, pork chop sandwiches, and the Sunday Mayberry Days Chapel service. Events are held around favorites like the Andy Griffith Playhouse, Andy Griffith Museum, Historic Earle Theatre, and Blackmon Amphitheatre. The festival actually began in 1990 as a one-day celebration of the show’s 30th anniversary before growing into the weeklong tradition it is today. Andy Griffith himself returned in 2004 for the unveiling of Mount Airy’s “Andy and Opie” statue.

Thank you for all the support today. I will be there 4 to 9 tomorrow and Wednesday come in and say goodbye if you did not have a chance today. Sorry I got so emotional but this was a hard decision. I put everything I had into this restaurant for you and the town. I still believe I was sent here for a reason, not knowing anybody. I just have to keep my head up and breathe.

We will be having a goodbye party Monday through Tuesday starting at 4 PM till 9 PM, it’ll give me a chance to say goodbye to most of my customers cash only, limited menu just to run out some of the food. Hope to see you.

Some evenings feel like an invitation to let the noise fall away. The sky softens, the tide keeps its slow rhythm, and everything inside you begins to loosen.

There is something restorative about sitting at the edge of the world with nowhere else to be. Just warm light, salt air, and a little space to hear your own thoughts again.

For a while, nothing needs fixing or answering. The day can simply become quiet.

A lot of people are trying to reach out to me today, I just had too much on my mind. Yesterday when I went to open up the restaurant there was another lock on my door. It was from my landlord Nick Patel because I did not give him $500 on Monday because of the central air not working, he put an illegal lock on my door that I could not get into the restaurant. The police did get a hold of him and told him that he had to take the lock off. But with everything else going on with the bills getting behind,  I had to rethink a lot of things. I am an open and upfront person. So yes, I am putting this out there that I am giving up. I will need some help having a yard sale to sell a lot of my stuff in the restaurant so if you wanna reach out and pick a day to help let me know. it was a pleasure serving every one of you. God must have another plan for me because in my office there is a sign that says never never give up.
