How do you germinate your avocado seeds?

I have always been a toothpick and water cup germinator BUT that has obviously never been done successfully by me or I’d have tons of trees lol

So we’re trying the wrapped in a damped paper toilet in an airtight container in a cool dark place method.

Stay tuned to see how this plays out! 🥑

Left is a freshly washed jar and right is straight out of the pack.

Just a friendly reminder to wash and sanitize those jars before using them for anything!

🧛🏻‍♀️ For all my Vampire Diaries lovers…🧛🏻

🪻Today we found wild “Vervain” AKA Verbena 🪻
Apparently the Council didn’t get rid of all of it 👀🤣

Vervain or Verbena is used for numerous things; stimulation of lactation, treatment of menstrual cramp, jaundice, gout, kidney stones, headache, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Vervain is also considered an astringent, a bitter digestive tonic, and a diuretic.

✨Happy Saturday everyone! ✨

Today we went out and did a little foraging on our property.
We found a gorgeous Red Mulberry Tree and later found a small one.

🔴Red Mulberries are a sweet berry, similar to a blackberry but seedy. The darker the berry the sweeter they are. They can be used for jams, jellies, juices, wines and baked goods!
They promote Brain and Liver health. Improves immunity, bone tissue, blood circulation, blood sugar, digestive health and lessens cancer. Prevents the flu and colds. They’re also rich in anti inflammatories. Among many other things.

🍃The leaves can be used to make a mulberry leaf tea. Can help as a worming agent and help with weakness and act as a a diarrhetic.
