One thing we didn’t realize when we opened a brewery in NW OK was just how many people roll through Alva. We get to meet the coolest people and hear some amazing stories.
A couple stopped in last night that is traveling from New York across the country. Last week it was a man riding his bike from Albuquerque to West Virginia on the Golden Gravel Trail.
Maybe you are traveling down the or or visiting , , , or , or just passing through, we love being an unexpected stop! 🍻🍕

Wednesday, we’re hosting the Southern Plains Grassland Summit pre-conference mixer in the Big Room with pizza, beer tastings, and live music from the talented Garrick Fausett from 7–9 PM. Mixer attendance is limited to registered Summit guests, but our taproom will remain open as usual for pizza, beer, and your midweek reset.

Then Saturday, we’re excited to welcome Salt Creek Revival to downtown Alva for a night of live local music, cold beer, and pizza. Don’t miss this set! Come support live music out here on the plains and spend your Saturday with us.

One thing we love about brewing in a rural community is that our spent grain doesn’t go to waste. After the brewing process, the grain heads to a local rancher to help feed cattle. 🌾
So that grain gets another job: first becoming beer, then becoming a useful feed source rich in protein and fiber. Less waste, more value, local partnerships, and one example of agriculture working full circle out here!

Here’s to the brewery kids officially surviving another school year.
Harper has spent part of hers clocking time in dish, and Viv has personally kept the pretzel supply industry alive. Between late nights at the brewery, homework at tables, random live music soundchecks, and hearing “can you grab me a ranch?” approximately 4,000 times…they made it putting up their parents’ brewery.
Cheers to summer break, tired parents, snack theft, and raising kiddos in a brewery 😂.
