OPEN AGAIN!

Thank you for all the well-wishes and support, I'm so glad to get back to work!

Chashudon's on the menu this week: tender braised pork belly, seared and glazed in a smoky and sweet oyster sauce. Served over rice with an omelette and house pickles.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

I should know more after the 21st, but it's still a pretty full inventory reset so it'll take a day or two of prep to start back up. Very much looking forward to it! I'll pop an announcement up on here and on Facebook when I'm back in business!

Turns out my retina's trying to run away, doc's gotta lock it down. Recovery is gonna take a bit so I'll be stuck at home. Y'all try to survive this heat, I'll reopen as soon as I can!

Hiyashi chuka is a chilled ramen, usually a summer dish, and usually good but boring. This is a take on it, but instead of a vinaigrette the noodles are swimming in the brine from lacto-fermented veggies and rice; it's tangy, savory, and BRIGHT tasting. Some mild chili oil tossed poached chicken, pickles, and cucumber on top and this is a perfect bowl for hot summer days!
