Black salt is one of our favorite materials to use in spell craft and spiritual cleansing. Not to be confused with culinary black salt, the magical version contains sea salt, charcoal, herbs and ritual incense leavings, sometimes hearth ash (and should NOT be eaten!) It adds powerful banishing and clearing properties to any work you are doing. Sprinkle across your doorway to prevent negative and harmful people from entering. Circle your spell candles with it before working with them, especially if you are doing a cord cutting, “go away” spell, or protection working. You can add it to spell jars to cleanse and protect your work, and place a dish of it in your work space to help clarify and purify your own intentions, or negative, obsessive, or anxious thought cycles. We love how easy it is to work with and we have plenty in stock for you.

We are ready for the fall weather that’s coming this weekend with new color ways in our beeswax candle line. These 12 inch tapers are saturated with hues that will glow warmly when you light them and give off the most delicious honey scent. We are fully stocked with all of the colors that you love in these tapers as well as tiny spell candles, natural beeswax votives, and a new product: organic beeswax lip balm in coffee cardamom flavor! Marveling over these black ammonite fossil pairs this morning… They are over 110 million years old! We are talking deep earth time here. I find it especially healing to contemplate that expanse of time relative to my human life. These will help you do it! I have a limited number of them as well as some with more color variety. These have a bit more weight to them because of their matrix of crystals, and some have tiny red centers.
Very Hekatean vibes. 🌟🖤🌟

Some stunning statuary came in this week. I can’t believe this Kuan Yin! We have more on the shelves waiting to find their place on your altar, bedside table, door frame… anywhere you offer reverence to the Divine and need blessings or protection. Sacred space often begins with devotion, and an image of a god or goddess becomes a focal point for gratitude, raising life force and manifestation.

We love to offer local authors a special place on our shelves! Two seasonal features arrived last week. Dive into some spooky true tales set in Altamont and the surrounding area, compiled by local artist Thom Breitenbach. We’ve been seeing customers reading this one in the parlor this week! Friend of the shop Chelsea Piazza Willsey has just released her memoir and reflections after breast cancer. Chelsea is also a local resident here, and a feng shui consultant, and she has fully embraced life after her diagnosis and treatment. It’s month, and we need more stories of hope and life. You can purchase Chelsea’s book in the shop now to support her effort to encourage others!
