This weekend marks SIX years of feeding this beautiful community!

We have been through a lot in the past six years but most don’t remember the three year complete restoration process of our building from the 1800’s to then opening during a global pandemic.

RB would not be here today if it wasn’t for the many fans that we have to support us! Alpena is a wonderful community that we are happy to serve time and time again.

Huge shout out to our team. The hospitality industry is not easy, in fact it is very hard but our staff works even harder! Our staff puts in the hours and endures high temperatures under an immense amount of pressure. They do it all to serve the best eats and drinks Alpena has to offer.

Cheers to 6 years!

The Summer college student staff are starting to head back to their studies so we are currently looking for bartenders and hostesses to fill their positions.

Creativity is our passion but service is our priority. Do you have a vast knowledge of cocktails and micro brews? We specialize in whiskey, craft beer and inspired cocktails and we are looking for a talented and friendly bartender to deliver our RB standards to our guests.

That's Red Brick Tap & Barrel, Alpena's urban whiskey bar tucked inside a building with serious bones:

✓ The bar itself is the restored original from the old Dry Dock; the kitchen door is the Dry Dock's old red entrance door
✓ Decor built from reclaimed Alpena history: window frames repurposed as picture frames, wood salvaged from downtown buildings, parts from the old fire station
✓ A seasonal menu with locally sourced ingredients, anchored by an extensive whiskey list and craft cocktails that rotate regularly
✓ Big-city dining energy (think Chicago or Denver) landed quietly in a small Northeast Michigan river town

A 100-year saloon address, completely reimagined. The history stayed; everything else got an upgrade.
