This evening, August 24th, the Three Rivers Smokehouse will be closing at 4pm and our Main Office and Fly Shop will be closing at 5pm for our annual Employee Party! Everyone is getting a much needed evening off after a long summer. We appreciate your understanding.

We'll be back to normal hours tomorrow. The Smokehouse is open daily from 7am - 8pm and our Store and Fly Shop are open 7am - 9pm!

Gunnison County has announced that we are back into a Stage 1 fire ban. This means campfires, in established fire pits, are now allowed.

Cabin 15, our newest, largest (sleeps up to 12) and most popular river-front cabin is available for a large part of August and early September. Well folks, we're down to one more week of rafting on the Taylor. Our last raft trips of the season will be going out on Friday, August 7th. We still have plenty of availability between now and then so give us a call, visit the website, do whatever it takes to come join us before it's too late! Our guests are still having a blast (see attached photo from yesterday as evidence)!

For inquiring minds, the flows out of Taylor Dam will be dropped to a level too low to float on Friday the 7th. Despite that, Three Rivers Smokehouse will remain open through September, wade fishing will continue through the autumn months and as always, we have cabins available year around! Come visit us in Almont!

The pre-evacuation notice for the Almont area has been rescinded. Watching the response in real-time was incredible and we’re very blessed with the positive outcome so far. Thank you to everyone who reached out and offered help. 🙏

🚨TAYLOR CANYON FIRE: PRE-EVACUATION NOTICE - ALMONT - BE PREPARED TO EVACUATE

July 26, 2026 @ 2:50 p.m.
The Gunnison County Sheriff has issued a 🟩Pre-Evacuation Notice for Almont and Lower Taylor Canyon in Gunnison County due to a new wildfire start in Taylor Canyon. This includes all of Almont and the Lower Taylor Canyon to Hwy 135 south to Roper Lane, including the Three Rivers Resort.
Pre-Evacuation means:
➡️That area is NOT under a Voluntary or Mandatory Evacuation order yet, but your area is at high risk.
➡️Conditions may change quickly, and we need you to be prepared and ready in case a voluntary or mandatory evacuation is issued.
➡️If you require a longer time to evacuate due to medical issues, livestock needs, or other factors, we urge you to begin evacuation preparations immediately and leave as soon as possible.
Be Prepared: Review your evacuation plan, assemble your Go Kit, and watch for emergency alerts. Preparedness information is available here: www.emergency.gunnisoncounty.org/
Be aware that fire and law enforcement personnel will be working in this area. Please give them the space they need to work safely and efficiently and obey any directives provided.
