I am now booking 2027 and into 2028 wedding cakes. (2026 is full) If you are in the planning process I encourage you to reach out now to insure you are able to get your date on my schedule.

I will be backing off on the number of weddings I am doing in 2027 compared to 2026. At the end of this year I will have created 42 wedding cakes for some really fantastic couples! But as a one person operation it can be difficult to give that much of my time.

I will be taking on much less for the summer of 2027. We will be taking a longer vacation and I want to be sure I am as present as can be while I still have both boys home over the summer. I will only be doing two weddings in June and July and none in August of 2027. These dates will go quickly so please reach out soon!

I will also only be doing a max of two weddings per weekend in 2027. The logistics of multiple weddings is a lot and I have felt very overwhelmed this past year trying to figure out I am going to get everything delivered in perfect condidtion.

I am my own worst critic. If I don't feel like I am giving you my best I feel like I am failing you as a professional cake baker. I also feel like I am taking away from my family by taking on so many cakes per weekend for numerous months in a row.

I am really looking forward to the fall season that is just around the corner. The cakes are going to be amazing. The couples on my schedule are pretty darn amazing and I am so excited to be working with them! I can't wait to hear from you if you are a 2027 couple!

The universe has a weird way of working. ✨️

Nobody knows the behind scenes of being a custom cake baker. The long hours, the failed recipes, the supply shopping, the weather worry, etc. We tend to only post the 'good stuff' on social media. The beautiful wedding cakes, the surprise birthday cakes, the fun shower themes.

These past few months have been some of the toughest for my little bakery. The summer heat melted a cake during delivery, cakes stuck in pans after baking that lead to numerous redos, extended shipping times for supplies, and honestly a bit of burnout.

But today I opened my mailbox to find a little envelope. That little envelope lifted me up more than Brooke & Kody will ever know. Reading her kind words about their day is what my heart, my soul needed.

Taking a few weeks off and reading this thank you card have rejuvenated me. Fall wedding season starts in a couple weeks and I am more ready than ever. Self-doubt is real when you have what feels like million tiny failures in a short time.

Thank you to each and every one of you for believing in me when I didn't always believe in myself. ❤️

Oh people. Small business owners go through enough without a$$hats making it more difficult.

The person who sent me this screenshot of their "payment" for a cake started by sending me an email request for a two tier birthday cake. Spent my time of going back and forth over design, flavor, pick up, etc. Put a contract together to never receive it backed signed but an email stating she paid me. Claims she used the link provided on said contract that was never signed nor returned. After I told her we needed to part ways she sent me her venmo link demanding I return her "payment"

Please stop trying to scam small business owners. Please stop wasting our time. Every minute of our day is valuable.

NOT sharing for sympathy. Sharing to hopefully keep others from being scammed. No, I did NOT send her any money. I was skeptical from the get go. That's why I have a booking plan and contract in place for every order.
