The first time I served this, silence fell over the table—except for the sound of forks scraping plates clean. Creamy layers of tender shrimp, sweet crab, and rich béchamel tucked between pasta sheets… This isn’t your average lasagna. It’s pure coastal decadence baked to golden perfection.
🦐🦀 Seafood Lasagna with Shrimp & Crab – Creamy, Cheesy, Coastal Comfort

Seafood Filling:
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, chopped
8 oz lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional)
Cheese Mixture:
15 oz ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Béchamel Sauce:
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup flour
3 cups whole milk
Salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Other:
9 no-boil lasagna noodles (or regular, cooked)
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella (for layering)
Extra parsley or Parmesan, for topping
🔧 Instructions
1. Prepare the seafood:
In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic. Add shrimp, cook 2–3 minutes until just pink.
Stir in crab, lemon juice, Old Bay, salt & pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Make the béchamel:
In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour to form a roux.
Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Stir in Parmesan, then remove from heat.
3. Mix the cheeses:
In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley.
4. Assemble the lasagna:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a greased 9x13 baking dish, spread a thin layer of béchamel.
Layer noodles → half ricotta mix → half seafood → béchamel → sprinkle mozzarella.
Repeat layers and finish with noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
5. Bake:
Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
Uncover and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Elegant enough for guests, comforting enough for a cozy Sunday dinner—this seafood lasagna is the kind of dish people remember.
