If you ask Elena what her favorite dish at Osteria Marzano is, she'll probably tell you... it depends.

Her favorites are always changing with the seasons, her mood, and whatever Chef Marzano is creating in the kitchen. But these are the dishes she's reaching for right now.

✨ To start: Carpaccio di Manzo. Light, fresh, and the perfect way to begin a meal.

🍕 If she's craving pizza: The Truffle Affair.

🍝 If pasta is calling: Penne with our Veal Bolognese.

🥩 If she's starving: The Bone-In Veal Chop Parmigiana or, as she lovingly calls it, the zaddy of all parms.

🍸 Her cocktail of choice: A Hendrick's Negroni.

🍮 And for dessert? The Bonet.

Elena swears it's one of the most underrated desserts on the menu. Every time she recommends it to a table, guests leave wondering why they hadn't ordered it sooner. Dark chocolate, delicate amaretti, and golden caramel come together in a classic Piedmont custard that's rich, silky, and never overly sweet.

A morning we'll never forget. ❤️

This week, Chef Marzano and Elena Pouchelon had the honor of joining ABC7's Good Morning Washington to share the story behind Osteria Marzano: from building a family business together, to bringing a little piece of Italy to Alexandria, to why you'll find us tucked inside an office building with ingredients imported straight from Italy. Plus, we made some fresh pasta live.
