Lead Housekeeper & Event Support
River Edge Resort & Steakhouse | Alberton, Montana
River Edge Resort & Steakhouse is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to take primary responsibility for motel housekeeping and assist with event preparation. The River Edge sits along the Clark Fork River and includes a motel, steakhouse, campground, RV park, and riverside event venue.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who works well independently, takes pride in their work, and can manage daily priorities in coordination with management. This person will be the motel’s sole housekeeping employee for much of the year and may help train and direct an additional seasonal employee during the busy summer months.
Responsibilities
• Perform daily motel housekeeping, including cleaning guest rooms, preparing rooms for arrivals, and maintaining designated common areas.
• Coordinate with management on checkouts, arrivals, room priorities, and guest needs.
• Check completed rooms to ensure consistent cleanliness, presentation, and readiness.
• Handle motel laundry and keep linens, towels, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies organized and stocked.
• Plan and complete routine cleaning and periodic deep cleaning.
• Help manage event venue linens, including inventory, cleaning, storage, and preparation for events.
• Organize and track designated catering supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Assist with moving and arranging tables according to event layouts established with management.
• Report maintenance concerns, room damage, and supply shortages promptly.
• Help train and direct seasonal housekeeping assistance when available.
Qualifications
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a motel, hotel, or resort.
• Ability to work independently, organize daily tasks, and maintain consistent standards.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and clear communication.
• Willingness to assist with both housekeeping and event preparation.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties, handle laundry and supplies, and assist with moving and arranging tables.
• Leadership or training experience is helpful.
• Availability for weekends, holidays, and busy event periods as scheduled.
