Many people ask me about the art that fills our walls. Most of it has been collected over the years, from 2000 to today, from different corners of the world.
My husband and I have both been fortunate to have careers that took us to some incredible places, and the walls of The Independent have become a physical reminder of those journeys—Japan, Vietnam, Georgia, Turkey, Jordan, Italy, France, among a few.
Each piece tells a personal story. It holds a memory of a place, a moment, or a person, while also offering a little journey somewhere else for anyone who stops to look.
Some of the pieces are for sale. Others are simply here for you to enjoy. Together, they are part of our story—and now, part of the space we get to share with you
If you go to our events page on our profile, you will also see opportunities to make your own piece of art with our art workshops!
Come for the food, stay for the art, and experience what makes Independent Bistro so special. We can’t wait to welcome you! 🤍
