We have some news 🗞️ We are excited to announce our new head chef, Ian Brower!

Chef Ian Brower is a Capital Region chef and restaurateur known for his bold, ingredient-driven approach to modern American cuisine. Over the course of his career, he has helped shape the local dining scene through leadership roles at New World Bistro Bar (The Kitchen Table), Peck’s Arcade, Capital City Gastropub, and Lost & Found, where his cooking blends global influence with refined technique and an approachable style.
He later became chef and co-owner of Mallo’s in Troy, a cult-favorite sandwich shop known for its creative, chef-driven fare. Following Mallo’s closure, Brower had returned to his roots as head chef of Cafe Capriccio, the restaurant where his culinary career began more than 20 years ago—marking a full-circle moment that reflects both his growth and enduring connection to the Capital Region’s dining community. We are so excited to have him on board here in Albany!
