On Wednesday, September 23 from 4–8 PM, we will be holding a fundraiser night at Southpaws and Shortstops in honor of Owen.

Owen was loved by so many and meant so much to our staff, friends, and community. We would love for you to join us as we come together to support his family and celebrate his memory.

We’ll be offering a special limited fundraiser menu that night with some of O’s favorites, and all food proceeds will be donated to the Hopkins family.

Thank you for helping us honor Owen and show his family how deeply he is loved. 🤍

Jo Jo Macs Restaurant is right - our new neighbors across the street do make excellent coffee, and there is plenty of room for all of us to be successful in Downtown Albany. We were there on Blacksmith Coffee Co.'s first day to buy coffee for our staff, and a few times since. Go try them out!

Unfortunately, my order still hasn't arrived to complete the ingredients for my next special, so I wanna take this time to welcome a new addition to 2nd street called the Blacksmith Coffee Company. Located across the street from Loafers & the Post Office. Awesome people, great family & fantastic coffee! They put a lot of love into the building to make it feel welcoming, and a lot of love into their Coffee! Give them a shot, they haven't disappointed me yet! Some will ask "why are you promoting someone elses coffee when you have your own?" Cause we're all in this together & there's room for all of us on this spinning rock. Besides, great people with great products deserve great success, especially small family run businesses like my own. I hope you all have a great day!

Event Update!
This event has been postponed, and we’ll share the new date as soon as it’s confirmed!

SafeHaven was hoping to join us with animals looking for their forever homes. At this time, they don’t have animals who are ready for off-site adoption events, but we’re hopeful that will change soon!

Stay tuned for updates! We can’t wait to bring everyone together for a fun day supporting animals in our community!

Meet Frodo! 🖤
Frodo is about 5–6 years old and a sweet little dachshund/terrier mix with a personality as big as his heart. Adopted from SafeHaven by our very own owners, Dan and Tina, Frodo has come a long way since the day he arrived.
When Tina first met him, it was Frodo’s perfect size, sweet temperament, and those adorable eyes that made her think, “This is my dog.” Frodo came with some fears and anxiety, especially around men and certain sounds, but with time, patience, and love, he’s slowly learned to feel safe and loves Dan now (finally).
Today, Frodo loves running around with his Great Dane brother (Duke), eating, jumping VERY high (earning him the nickname “Leap Frog!”), and even lounging on the back of the couch like a cat.
His story is a reminder that rescue dogs may need a little extra patience but the love they give back is worth it.

National Dog Day is tomorrow, and we’re giving you another reason to celebrate. September 12th from 11am to 2pm, our dog friendly patio will host a fundraiser and adoption event benefiting Safehaven. 10% of sales will be donated, and adoptable animals will be waiting to meet you.
Until then, bring your pup in tonight for karaoke. We hear the four legged performers are a real crowd pleaser.
