Walk-in micro-bakery specializing in seasonal pastries, macarons, cookies, and cheesecakes, but we make all kinds of stuff. We use primarily all natural and whenever possible, local and organic ingredients. I know I'm so lucky to have my dad, and his unfailing support for the mission of this shop. He and my mom are some of our biggest champions and especially in times like these, I'm incredibly grateful to have parents who raised me with a firm set of ethics and a strong moral compass. ⚖️🧭

Like a lot of holidays, I know today can be rough for some, so if this day causes you pain, please know we're holding you in our hearts as well. 💕

Hello hello! 👋

Since tomorrow is Juneteenth and I'm a white lady, it seems only fitting to do a fundraiser in honor of the day, and so my business isn't profiting off a holiday not meant for me. As such, we'll be donating 20% of our sales tomorrow, Friday June 19th, to the Akron NAACP (Akron NAACP) to help support their important work advancing the interests of the Black community in an increasingly hostile political landscape. We'll also be adding to that 100% of the proceeds from any Juneteenth themed frosted sugar cookies because that's just right.

So first and foremost, spend your hard-earned money with Black-Owned businesses who don't often get the spotlight they deserve. Seek them out, they're worth it. (Tomorrow and *every* day!!)

Then, if you have any left and want to treat yourself and support a great cause, head on down to 76 East Mill Street in downtown Akron, Friday from 9am-3pm for breakfast, lunch, brunch or just a lil something for your tum. 😋

Did you know that our Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches are Customizable? It's true! Since we make everything from scratch, we have some flexibility and variety to offer you your ideal breakfast sandwich experience. 😋🥪🍳🥓🧀

You can get it on one of our fresh baked sandwich buns, a biscuit: GF, Plain or Cheddar Bacon, a bagel: plain, Asiago or everything, or a croissant. I didn't want to tell you until it was officially ready to go - because sometimes I get so excited I tell you too soon and then you want it and it's not ready, and that's my fault for being overly enthusiastic and also bad at keeping secrets😬 - but friends, she's ready.

This little beauty is our new Gluten-Free Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Yes, that is correct, gluten-free.🍍 And so good. Just in time for summer! Since our Buttered Pineapple Scones are not GF, we thought it'd be nice to make something pineappley for our GF crowd, and this classic comfort cake was a perfect candidate.

It's been on our "to make" list for a while now, and we're so excited to finally share it with you. She's rich, she's buttery and oh so tender with that fruity little pineapple flavor baked into each bite. Cory did a great job testing and tweaking recipes until we arrived at our perfect cake, and I hope you'll agree I think she's a new favorite. 🥰😋

Since I know that the first thing your body craves on really hot and humid days is a bunch of carbs, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to remind you to carboload on these warm summery days to really pack in those calories. That'll help keep you cool for sure, and we're here to help. 🙌 🫶

Our Strawberry Lime Scones are back and I want to make sure you know that we're not putting any food coloring in that glaze - all that glorious pink color is from actual strawberries that we slow roast to concentrate their flavor. Paired with fresh lime zest, it's one of my favorite summer flavors, so bright and *almost* refreshing. (It's a scone, so that's a really tough ask.) 🍓🍋‍🟩

So we've seen some restaurants and cafes using AI for their marketing, and the results have been... Interesting. 😬

With the state and federal government gaslighting everyone on a daily basis, the last thing you need is feeling like even your food is a lie. 😮‍💨 I can promise you that the food images we post are not only actual items that we just made - from scratch and by hand, mind you - but most of the time (with a few exceptions), it's a photo of something we just made that day, that is literally in our case.

Like this croissant. This very croissant was baked this morning, and unless it's already sold, you'll find this exact croissant in our case. 🥐 In fact those photos of our case are as of 30 minutes ago, and those BBQ Chicken Handpies were made this morning, using BBQ Sauce we make in house from scratch from our own recipe.

I can also promise you that nothing on our website or social media is written by ChatGPT or any other such program. It's me - Mary - typing these words, one by one.

In a world that seems so uncertain, it might not seem like a big deal that your local bakery is committed to presenting an honest product in an honest way, but we think it is. It's tied to the water we drink, the air we breathe, the land we walk on. We are all part of this bigger picture and we think you're worth the consideration.
