Betsy's Round the Corner Soda Fountain and Grille Old fashion diner open for breakfast and lunch and early dinner. We also have a soda fountain serving ice cream treats and milkshakes.

Beginning at 11 am, choose one of our hand-pattied hamburgers, hot dogs served on grilled New England style buns with Betsy's special recipe chili, grilled favorites, a great menu of homemade soups and salads, and a daily home cooked blue plate special.

As many of you will read in this morning’s Aiken Standard, we will be closing Betsy’s on December 30. The restaurant is being sold, and while I do not feel I can share information about the new owner’s plans, I will tell you it will remain a restaurant.

I want to thank our many loyal customers for you continued support over the years. Your patronage saw us through a few very difficult years as Covid caused us to periodically close and necessitated our having to change our method of service. So many of you have become close friends and like family to us. I sincerely hope you will show the new owners the same love and support you have given us.

I am also so grateful to my staff. Most of my staff has been with me for years, some from day one of us opening “on the corner “! They have been so instrumental in the success we have enjoyed. Hopefully all will continue with the new ownership so you can continue seeing all the familiar faces.

While I intend to enjoy a few days of sleeping in and catching up with all the neglected projects around my house, I’m excited to see what opportunities the next chapter of my life presents.

We will be open for two more weeks so hope to see you ”round the corner” soon!
