The cash register was slow ringing credit cards last weekend but they updated our program and it is back working good!!

09/12/2026

The Guard Restaurant cash registers are supposed to update on their own. Due to some reason unknown to us, they did not update. We have contacted the Clover Company and have gone through 1st level and 2nd level support and the problem was not solved. They have referred us to the engineers in the company. The engineers will not return to work until Monday.
Due to this problem, we are asking everyone who comes to The Guard tonight to either bring cash or check if you can, but if you want to bring your credit card, the register will sometimes take it first try, but sometimes it will take several tries, but with cash or check it goes right on through.

Sorry for the inconvenience and we appreciate your business.
