Yoga classes are suitable for almost everyone. This is not a sport, it is a special health-improving practice, which you can become a follower of at any age. Hatha combines meditation, pranayama (a special breathing technique), relaxation, and simple exercises with the possibility of complicating them. The goal of hatha yoga is to achieve mental balance.
If there are any restrictions in connection with health — it is better to choose Iyengar yoga. This simple direction introduces beginners to the course with the help of exercises that are performed not for speed, but for the "result": stretching the muscles.
For more mobile and restless individuals, ashtanga yoga is suitable. It helps to direct excess energy in the right direction. But for such practices, you need good physical training, so it can hardly be considered as the initial stage of yoga classes at home.
For the most active people, power yoga (power yoga) is also suitable. It should be borne in mind that the load on the body is even more intense than in ashtanga yoga. These yoga exercises, especially, are not for beginners. But they are ideal for athletes. Power yoga helps to increase flexibility.
Kundalini yoga will be especially interesting for those who put spiritual development at the forefront. This direction is based on meditation, asanas, chanting mantras, breathing exercises and concentration of consciousness. The practice of Kundalini yoga itself does not imply special physical training, but as a home yoga for beginners will not do. It is better to master this direction under the guidance of a guru.
