In some countries Ramadan began yesterday, and here in Zanzibar the majority started fasting today. We would like to wish everyone observing this holy month a peaceful and blessed Ramadan.

Ramadan is a very special time on the island. The atmosphere becomes calmer, more reflective, and beautifully serene. For visitors, it can actually be one of the most wonderful times to experience Zanzibar.

✨ Why visit during Ramadan?
• Quieter beaches and peaceful surroundings
• A slower, more authentic island rhythm
• Stunning sunsets and a unique evening atmosphere

On the beaches, daily life continues much as usual for tourists. Hotels and resorts operate normally, and you can fully enjoy the ocean, sunshine, and relaxation.
